As a Family Support Worker, you will work directly with a family to ensure their day-to-day wellbeing, safety, and stability. The role involves:

  • Providing practical support to parents and children within the home.

  • Assisting with daily routines, including personal care, supervision, and household tasks.

  • Monitoring the family environment and identifying any safeguarding concerns.

  • Offering emotional support, guidance, and reassurance to help the family remain stable.

  • Working in partnership with social workers and the wider multi-agency team.

  • Maintaining clear and accurate records and reports after each shift.

This ensures 24/7 wrap-around care, allowing different workers to manage different parts of the day while maintaining consistency and stability for the family.

  • Hours per week: 36

  • Start date: 01/12/2025

  • End date: 04/01/2026

  • Typical hours: 09:00 – 17:15 (core), but shift patterns will vary to meet family needs.
